The Plumbing Service Manager takes a lead role in assigning projects to PM’s as well as coordinating projects from request/PO, field installation, and close out of job. He/She will ensure that the work is performed in a timely, profitable, and safe manner while meeting or exceeding the department’s quality and customer service standards and demonstrating the company’s core values.

  • 40%-Administrative duties: Ensure employee time is accurate and turned in on time, manpower coordination and requests (48-hour notification preferred), in progress review of budgets and job schedules, document and price small projects, services jobs, T&M tickets and change orders. Hold weekly meetings for subordinates to collect paperwork and ensure that all on-the-job issues are handled in a professional manner.
  • 20%- Managerial Duties: Distributing workload amongst PM’s based upon current workload, skill set, experience, and customer relationship, holding all subordinates accountable for all Excel Services policies and procedures, and being a problem solver for department.
  • 15% – Job oversight: Pre-work coordination and documentation (estimate review, budgets, ordering large items, and handoff to jobsite foreman), review of schedules and deadlines or any potential issues, requisition of material, small tools, and equipment needed for work to begin, mentoring, and coaching of employees, and maintain customer relationships.
  • 10%- Company Policy Enforcement: Help to ensure safe job sites and maintain company assets (tools, equipment, vehicles, etc.
  • 5%- Job Closeout: Schedule final inspections, gather and organize customer documentation, ensure all documentation for final billing, review final billings prior to being sent to customer.
  • 10% – Other duties, as assigned.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

· Minimum of (2) years of experience as project foreman.

· Minimum of (10) years of plumbing experience (construction or service)

· Experience estimating small projects and service jobs

· Journeyman license certification

· Possession of valid driver’s license with a good record of driving

· High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

· Knowledge of applicable industry specific Code, OSHA guidelines and safety requirements, and safe work practices. 

· Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong mechanical aptitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Master Plumbing License
